Alonso Ross

Alonso Ross, born in Mexico City, self-taught cartoonist and scriptwriter, has developed his career between graphic novel, comic, ceramics, script, illustration and animation. His work generally deals with the problems of the contemporary human condition and its relationship with nature. He was the director of the Casa Ross project, a company that made monumental ceramic murals.

He currently works as an art director in the animation studio Brinca where he mainly produces and draws comic books and graphic novels both his own and in collaboration with other artists. Of the various projects he highlights Isla Paraíso, whose first chapter is published by the Digital Culture Center in Mexico and El Azul Perfecto, graphic novel about Mexican food, both graphic novels in process.
Alonso also exhibits his graphic work, had his first exhibition as a child in 1988, currently his work is exhibited in various spaces in Mexico City.
