Demise of the Shepherdess

Meredith watched in stunned silence as the family's sheep were devoured one handful after another. Scooped up and baaing they fell into the open maw. In less than a minute only the girl remained in the now empty field. The giantess drew nearer, surprisingly soft footfalls for something so huge. No eyes but what it lacked in sight it made up for with smell. Meredith finally broke her silence as she was snatched from the apple tree branch where she sat. With a single crunch the girl was gone. Still hungry the giantess sniffed the air and then moved on.
