A Warrior's Welcome
By: Timothy Law
You are buried beneath the ice and snow.
Cold in your heart is all you now know.
Your blade is broken, your honor destroyed.
Your soul is torn to pieces, lost to the void.
You stood before the devil with weapon in hand.
Sword drawn on the beast as you fought for the land.
Your brothers have fallen, the ice is spayed red.
Your women and children weep for the dead.
You scream from beyond but none heed your cry.
Hang your head shameful you whisper goodbye.
There shall be no pyre, no farewell.
I welcome thee, welcome to hell.
