The Hole
By: David K. Montoya

Eric and Jerry rode silently down a dirt path that divided the desert horizon; the sun slowly set in front of them.

Confused Jerry finally asked, "Are you sure this is a short cut?"

Eric blindly bobbed his head and slowed the vehicle until it was still and said, "What the hell?"

In front of them was a small hole; Jerry, first to get out, exclaimed as he jumped in, "It's filled with beer! Lots of it! Why would anyone fill a hole with some any cases?"

"As bait," Eric said as he pulled the trigger of his revolver.
