Moments
By: Welkin Siskin
Moments are like shadows:
when they come up
with the dark after the brightness
of a day, closer and faint,
they, too, fade out.
Moments are like the spinning
Of a roulette, fast and going,
When they strike the tilted circular track
Of time, it's done.
Moments are billows of clouds,
Vastly imagined, cherished, beheld, tended,
Yet with the sun's passing fading in no time.
