Red and Yellow
By: Nerisha Kemraj

Gertrude brought out the pumpkins and placed them on the table ready to be carved by her eager grandkids who stood in line behind the table waiting, their carving utensils at the ready. But as she picked up one of the pumpkins the whole lot of them began to roll off the table onto the ground. Yellow fragments flew everywhere. They all laughed in amusement, until they noticed little Jordan underneath the table... but it was too late. The huge hard-shelled vegetable rolled of the table. Screams of horror rang through the street. The yard was tainted red and yellow.
