Do You Hear What I Hear?
By: Kevin Magnus
Said the night wind to the little lamb;
Child, no one sincerely gives a damn.
Do you see, what I see;
A gift of pain to me.
Do you hear, what I hear;
Gift of unwanted fear.
Way up in the sky little lamb;
Hoping I buy into this scam.
A star, a star;
Go hide the scar.
Dancing in the night;
Ignoring the spite.
With a tail as big as a kite;
Mortally wounded from a fight.
Said the little lamb to the Shepard boy;
You do not deserve any sort of joy.
Do you hear, what I hear;
Knowing of the end is near.
Ringing through the sky Shepard boy;
Broken like a useless play toy.
Do you hear, what I hear;
Sobs of sorrow in one tear.
A song, a song;
It is all wrong.
High above the trees;
Trapped with all the sleaze.
With a voice as big as the sea;
They will beat you down to one knee.
With a voice as big as the sea;
While ignoring your dying plea.
Said the Shepard boy to the mighty king;
In spite of the humiliating sting.
Do you know what I know;
Asked with another blow.
In your palace wall mighty king;
Time to surrender, you must sing!
Do you know what I know;
You are without ammo.
A child, a child;
I simply smiled.
Shivers in the cold;
It is Death behold.
Let us bring him silver and gold;
Must pay the ferryman twofold.
Listen to what I say,
As you will die today.
Pray for peace people everywhere;
But no one really to care.
Listen to what I say;
As you must die today.
A child, a child;
I simply defiled.
Sleeping in the night,
Heading to the light.
He will bring us goodness and light;
If only you didn't lose the fight.
