In a World So Cold
By: Kevin Magnus

Must we live in a world so cold,
Hatred reins over young and old.
In a time where sorrow soars over our love,
Frightened that bombs will fall from the sky above.
Anger is now the commonplace,
Aggression is a welcomed space.
With no one who cares, and that all hope is lost,
We sell out to whoever the highest cost.
Look around and see all this hate,
The people in line at Hell's Gate.
All of the pain, the fighting and the killing,
Knowing all must the blood we must be spilling.
The cries of the children rang out,
Begging us, take another route.
What does future do, we leave it for the youth,
Promise of better that we proclaim the truth.
Must we live in a world so cold,
Hatred reins over young and old.
