Did you think I would drop and burn?
Oh yes, the pain and sorrow is still right there,
I must admit, it was almost too much to bare.
Dear Life, did you forget who I am,
Or did you simply just not give a damn?
While I agree that this was the worst,
But, oh dear, this was far from the first.
You've allowed death to take many I care for,
Blowing out their candles with a slam of the door.
Did you enjoy seeing me suffer and cry;
Perhaps it was your plan for me to die.
So here I remain,
Consumed with pain.
So maybe it was you who gave me that blood-stained knife,
Doesn't matter now, because I'm in control of my life!
