In the night I will be there for you
Like the hero you have been waiting for
Wearing tattered denim versus armor
I will caress away all your woes and fears
And wipe away all your unfavorable tears
In a world of lies I will be what is true

In the night I will be there for you
To slay all the dragons that try to torment
And end all the demons that try to decent
My noble sword is relentlessly unsheathed
And in my sovereignty you will be wreathed
In a world of dark I will see you through
In the night I will be there for you
For the times when strength leaves you
I'll give you my strength to make you anew
And a kiss would be the only trophy I take
And that glimmer in your eye will awake
A world that exists for just me and you

Michael A. Sauve has been drawing for as long as he can remember; even before he could write, he was drawing. He grew up in San Diego, California, moved to Colorado in 1996 to go to college for computer-aided graphic design and has been there ever since. Very few share the passion for the arts and poetry as he does. They are his reason for being.
