Ghost Story by Kevin Magnus

Ghost Story
By: Kevin Magnus

The woman came to visit him on the anniversary of his death,
She would stay there and drink until she had nothing left.
Usually passing out for hours at a time during her stay,
But something odd happened to her on this fateful day.
It is said that she was awakened by the sound of the dead;
The woman screamed in terror, as he came out of his bed.
But only half way did he come up from the grave,
Telling her that he was there to rescue and save.
He snatched the woman by the arm and said, "Come with me."
She fought back and begged, but he ignored her plea;
The dead man pulled her down into the ground with him to stay,
Because she had been unfaithful while he lived, and so had to pay.
