Take Me Home by Kevin Magnus

Take Me Home
By: Kevin Magnus

I am done--unable to continue the fight,
May the Reaper come take my soul tonight.
Lately it has become hell to keep me whole,
The lifelong war has finally taken its toll.
Never will I win, forever to be poor;
I do not want to be here anymore!
So can you please just take me home?
Free me from this, so I may roam.

In time you won't remember me, but that is fine;
Alone I will be, though my soul will remain mine.
Everyone that I have known has already walked out the door,
Reaffirming that I don't want to be here anymore!
I don't want a blessing read from a tome,
So, please, if you would just take me home!
