The Kite
By: Dr. Pragya Suman

The kite was situational
In situation
That was eaten up
In the guts. Now was beyond words–

In the hilly equatorial shop
Kite was bought.
I bended down
To whimpering daughter–

The clue was in the kite
In the twigs
of unflinching poppler though–

And one day it happened so
Just after winter
Kite dropped down
In the woosening wind–

My daughter began to fly it again
But the situation remained the same.
